Issue

Customers running Zend Server for IBM i should always make sure to keep all PTF groups current, especially for Java (PASE), IBM HTTP Server, and DB2.  This article tells how to verify that your groups are current.

Environment

Any version of Zend Server for IBM i running on any supported version of IBM i.

Resolution

To see the current PTF groups available, please go to this link:

IBM i Group PTFs with level

To see all of the groups for your version of the operating system, click the blue arrow next to the 3 digit number that maps to your version (example 710 is for 7.1, 610 is for V6R1, etc).  Also, when the list appears, use the "Next" link at the bottom of the list to view the second page.

To see the PTF groups currently applied on your IBM i, please use this command:

WRKPTFGRP

Just press enter to see all the PTF Groups and the level for each group.  Compare these to the available groups, and update any that are at an earlier level.

You can obtain the current PTF groups at IBM Fix Central:

IBM Support: Fix Central

The site is set up for self service, and is pretty easy to use.  IBM Support can also help you if you have questions about how to use the site.
